The Hyundai Tucson SUV has been awarded the Carbuyer automobile Of The Year for 2022, as part of our sister site’s annual celebration of the best new automobiles on sale.
Hyundai’s bold new design language clearly made a good first impression, but the Tucson was also praised for its interior and driving experience. the most recent Hyundai Tucson has a much much more modern interior than its predecessor, plus a better selection of quality materials.
Hyundai Tucson supreme Hybrid: long-term test review
Four versions of the Tucson are available, all based around a 1.6-litre petrol engine with varying degrees of electrification. The conventional engine is joined by mild-hybrid, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, although Hyundai has so far stopped short of selling a fully electric one. The Tucson is also one of the few family SUVs to be good to drive, as well.

Carbuyer has awarded its best family automobile and best hybrid automobile gongs to the Tucson, too, while Hyundai is also celebrating the i20 N’s best hot Hatchback win and two awards for the Ioniq 5 electric SUV.
